This work was a wonderful experience. I spent a little over a week living in Udine, eating delicious home cooked Italian food and travelling every day to the Villa Manin to make videos onto people’s phones. A narrative. A story about the future. I wrote a script. I met lovely Italians. I made some weird images.

In the end, the idea was to show the videos in a little theatre, like a Punch and Judy show. I built a nice little theatre for the job. But then it became clear that the videos would be too small for anyone to see.

So I smashed up the theatre live in front of the audience and showed various bits of the footage in and around that dangerous spectacle. Fun was had by all.
